HOW DOES REMOTE INVIGILATION WORK?

It uses technology to allow students to take exams online sitting at home, or place of their choice (office or any other quiet place).

Just like centre exams, students will be given a start time and they will have to complete the exam in the allocated time under exam conditions. Also, ACCA allows flexibility of choosing the exam start time as per their choice.

The remote exams will be invigilated by a real person (proctor) via webcam. Once the exam has started, the invigilator will continue to monitor the student for the duration of the exam. They will also be able to assist you with any technical issues that you face. The process will also involve systems to check biometrics, artificial intelligence (AI) as well as recording to ensure integrity.

Students will need the necessary technology, equipment and exam environment to sit these exams. For more information about remote invigilation, please visit https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-entry-and-administration/computer-based-exams/remote-session-exams.html
