FAQ's

The Chartered Financial Analyst programme is a postgraduate professional certification offered internationally by the American-based CFA Institute to investment and financial professionals.

When you complete the CFA course, you can get job opportunities in Relationship Management and Data Science, Credit Analysis, Chief Investment Officer, Trading, Accounting and Auditing, Financial Planning and Sales and Trading.

It is possible to complete the CFA course program in 1.5 to 2.5 years. But it also takes most people from three to even four years to complete the full programme.

Your background and professional aspirations will determine this. The fields of accounting, auditing and taxation are the main focus of chartered accountancy (CA), while Investment management, financial analysis and Portfolio Strategy are the main focus of chartered financial analysis (CFA).

In short: CFA is tougher in finance and a global context while CA is tougher for accounting and India-specific practice.

The choice between Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Accountant (CA) depends on career goals. CFA is specialized in finance and investment, while CA is focused on accounting and auditing. Both are prestigious and the " more better " option depends on your own professional aspirations and what your interests are.

The highest salaries in the finance industry are frequently found in India for positions like portfolio manager, investment banker or hedge fund manager for CFA charter holders. However, a specific pay can be decided based on several factors like location, how many years of experience you have or the company. These are some of the most sought-after career paths in the finance sector that you can think about since they are usually filled by CFA charterholders with experience who have passed all the 3 exam levels.

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) are compared based on professional objectives. MBA can give you a broader education related to business and CFA focuses more on the finance and investments side. Personal objectives and the desired field of expertise are the basis for the decision.

Level I exams are held in February, May, August and November and Level II exams are held in May, August and November while Level III exams can be given in February and August.
